Simple audio utilities for high frequencies
Music Tools BumpUp.exe is a program that quadruples the size of a wave file, making it sound four times slower than it was. The resulting music is two ocataves lower than before. This allows you to hear the super high frequency content in your music and work with it. You can locate and eliminate persistant ultrasonic ringing and other artifacts that result from sample rate conversions (like from 48k to 44.1k), to prevent your music from sounding "mushy" on FM radios. Other unwanted artifacts can result from some older synthesizers and some Music Tools "loud" computer systems. When you are done filtering the wave file, you can then run BumpDown to return your masterpiece to its original speed. DeSnap eliminates unwanted super loud high frequency clicks (snaps) that so often plague digital music, without sacrificing any brilliance. This is not a filter. It scans wave files for snap events and fixes them. These simple utilities are indispensable if you are in the habit of pushing your music for the best possible ultra high frequency content.
