TAS-HMITalk ActiveX component designed to be the core part of HMI/SCADA systems based on Visual Basic or any other development tool which supports activex and where it is required to interface with your field equipment through RS-232 and RS-485. Includes more than 100 communication drivers to talk with PLCs, RTUs, power meters, scales, etc. Also offers a powerful communication engine that automatically manages the polling cycle of all the devices connected. Up to 1000 objects can be instantiated. Each object can handle up to 1000 I/O points. Up to 255 COM ports can be used. COM port number, protocol driver and other settings can be changed on-the-fly for each activex object. Provides alarm-detection, PID algorithms and PWM. Bonus LineChart object to graphically display charts based on data-buffers that are automatically stored and updated for each point. Communication messages can be logged to disk for driver debugging.

TAS-HMITalk Has a configurable graphical interface through which the communication flow can be monitored, featuring indicator leds, boxes with the messages exchanged and a status box, all of which are continuously updated as long as the communication is active. Operates in a system-configuration environment familiar to anyone who has worked with objects: using properties, methods and events. Manipulating the properties, users can select which protocol to use, the alarm levels to assign to each I/O value read, etc. Using the methods, diverse actions can be executed from the user`s application, such as triggering the delivery of an output packet, etc. Through the events, the application is informed of everything occurring within the HMITalk objects: if data values change, if an alarm is activated or cleared, etc. Single and unlimited runtime licenses are available. |
